Running:

Treadmill run. Ran for 20 minutes WITHOUT A WALK BREAK! Woo! Also managed to do it somehow without messing up the pedicure I had this afternoon. V. good.

Spinning Class:

For some reason, spinning didn't seem all that hard tonight. Was tired after work though, really just wanted to go home, but I'm very glad now that I was able to talk myself into going.

Lunchtime:

Upper-Body weights. I'm really tired today and so I almost blew it off, but I didn't get a weights workout in on Monday (due to the FUE situation) so I really needed to do this. I'm glad I did, but now I could really use a nap.

Week 11.

Running:

Because of my fucked up eyes, I made a doctor's appointment this morning and didn't end up coming into work until about 12:30. As a result, I didn't feel like I could (in good conscience) go running out the door to running class right at 5:00 today. Plus I wasn't prepared to flaunt my FUEs (fucked up eyes) to the whole class and Shelly-Lynn Glover. So I came home and did tonight's class exercise on my own (well, with Lola in tow) in Forest Park. It actually was harder this way as I ran up and down hills for the entire session. At least running class would have been on flat ground. Tonight was an interval of 12 minutes, 1 minute recovery and an interval of 8 minutes. I surprised myself on those hills, I was really able to keep going. The first steep hill right at the beginning of the drive in Forest Park seemed a whole lot easier than the last time I tackled it, just a couple of weeks ago. Amazing. Amazing too that I was able to reach the top of each hill and keep on going. Each interval also happened to end on an uphill, so there I was dying to walk near the end of my interval (especially on my 12 minute one) and it was just so hard to hold on, but then to add insult to injury, I'm on a hard uphill grade -- ARGH! By the time I was finished with each, I was seeing stars. Training on hills is good though. It makes you strong. Anyway, so even though I blew off class tonight, I probably actually got more out of running on my own. It was good that I stuck with the scheduled routine from class, so I don't fall behind. I think next week we have to run for a 15 minute interval (not sure what the shorter interval is, I'll have to check). The Fat Ass Pug also did well tonight, I didn't really have to drag her much, and she stayed with me, even when we ran past distractions like running through a pack of off-leash dogs playing on the path.
