Summary for the Week:

I feel like I had a decent workout week. I managed to get in 3 weights workouts as well as some good cardio work. I made it to running class and managed to run an additional day. I should be running 3 or 4 times a week really, but it's a start anyway. I'm also proud that I made it to a Spinning class on Friday night. After missing Spinning on Thursday, it would have been very easy to blow it off for the week, so dragging myself there on a Friday after work was an accomplishment for me.

Next week I hope to have a similar schedule. I'm off from work for the week, so it will be interesting trying to keep to some kind of schedule. I tend to fall apart a bit in the workout category when I don't have a structure to the day (look at most of my weekends). But at least I have running class on the schedule and now that Ellen & Ken are back in town for a while, I can look forward to meeting them at Spinning on Thursday night as well. I would like to start bumping up my cardio workouts a bit now. Grabbing 20 minutes on an elliptical after my weights workout is great, but it is really not quite enough. I need to find time to do some running before or after work and/or throw in another couple of Spinning classes during the week, etc.

Running class tonight. Plus a 1 mile brisk walk to class from the subway and a 1 mile brisk walk back. Between the walking and the class (we also walked about half a mile to and from the Boat Pond in the Park), plus getting home from the subway on this end, I think I did somewhere between 4 and 5 miles tonight. Too bad only about one mile of that (or less) was actually running. But you've got to start somewhere.
