Wow, another week with 6 days of workouts. V. good. Would like to shoot for working out 6 days a week in general, so yay for me.

Running:

Ran a charity 5K today -- it was hot, hot, hot (and humid! It's supposed to thunderstorm tomorrow) and it was very hilly. Questioned my sanity during the thing, but in hindsight now I'm glad I did it. Feel like I've accomplished something. Got a bit sunburned though. Guess I wasn't aggressive enough with the sunblock.

Anyway, officially 3.1 miles, plus some walking miles. Covered at least 2 more miles just walking after the event, back-tracking back down the course once I was finished. Also had walked up to Times Square from Penn Station before the thing started this morning.

Lunchtime:

Upper-body weights. Damn gym was hot! I had to get out of there after the strength training, no way was I going to do some cardio in that heat, especially when I don't have time to shower -- ugh!

Spinning Class:

It was hard, but afterwards there was beer.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I also did 10 minutes on the stairmaster before Spinning Class.

Running Class:

Tonight was intervals of 10 mins running/1.5 mins walking and I am proud to say that I was able to do it, and without cheating at all. Whew, that's a relief. It was also another perfect evening in Central Park, so a great experience all around.

Oh, I also walked briskly up to class and back down to the "F" train as always. The walking adds another 2+ miles onto my running workout.

Week 10.

Lunchtime:

Upper-body weights. Almost talked myself out of going up there, it's raining, I'm tired, yadda, yadda, yadda. But I knew if I didn't do it at lunch, it wouldn't get done and that would throw my whole schedule off for the week. So I dragged my ass up there. Didn't do any cardio though, didn't feel like I had enough time since I had a late start.
